Roselyn De Roxas has always been driven by curiosity and a passion for discovering new things. Born and raised in Manila, Philippines, her journey from a fashion photographer and filmmaker to an entrepreneur in the UK highlights her fearless approach to taking risks and reinventing herself. Today, she runs Rosé Premium by De Roxas Global Ltd, a thriving import-export business specializing in fresh fruits and vegetables, while continuing to explore new business ventures.
“I’ve always liked discovering things—new ideas, industries, and opportunities,” Roselyn shares. “I even studied law at one point but quickly realized it wasn’t for me. That’s when I decided to take an MBA, and it opened my eyes to what I truly wanted: a career in business where I could network, build relationships, and create something meaningful.”
From Creative Beginnings to Entrepreneurial Success
Starting her career in the creative industries, Roselyn worked as a fashion photographer and filmmaker, creating visual stories that captivated audiences. However, her curiosity soon led her to leave the arts behind and dive into the business world. In the Philippines, she focused on food and beverage franchising, honing her skills in marketing, advertising, and relationship-building.
“I’ve always loved connecting with people and building relationships. It’s one of the things that excites me most about business,” she says.
Her move to the UK was motivated by her desire to expand her horizons.
“I wanted to challenge myself and explore opportunities in a completely different market,” she explains.
That leap of faith led to the creation of Rosé Premium, which sources high-quality produce from across the globe and distributes it in the UK and beyond.
Networking and Growth
Roselyn’s ability to build and nurture relationships has been a cornerstone of her success.
“Networking is such a big part of what I do. Whether it’s connecting with growers in Southeast Asia or distributors in Europe, I love working with people and learning from them,” she says.
Her diverse background in communication arts, IT, marketing, and advertising has equipped her with the skills to excel in multiple industries. Even now, while running her company, she works in sales and marketing in the fitness industry, further sharpening her expertise.
Looking to the Future
While Roselyn is proud of what she’s achieved with Rosé Premium, she’s always looking ahead.
“I’m not planning to go back to the Philippines to live, but I do want to start a new business venture there,” she says.
She’s also considering launching a restaurant in London, inspired by her roots and the vibrant flavors of Asia.
“I want to introduce something fresh and exciting to London’s food scene—a real taste of Asia that highlights the culture and richness of where I come from,” she shares.
“I’m passionate about creating businesses that bring people together, whether through food, culture, or shared experiences. There’s so much more to discover, and I’m excited for what’s next.”
